Web Event on Supervision and CF Experience

On July 16, 2009, Division 11 sponsored a forum event (archived content) on  mentorship/supervision during the CF.

Perspectives on Administration and Supervision

Perspectives on Administration and Supervision is now available online only, published by ASHA with HighWire Press. Perspectives is published 3 times annually in March, June, and October. Division 11 is a CE Provider and offers its issues for self-study to earn CEUs.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Division on Administration and Supervision, 11 is to advance best practices in administration, leadership, and supervision by serving as a valuable resource for its affiliates by offering educational activities, providing networking opportunities, and supporting research and scholarly initiatives.

Focus Area 1: Professional development/education

Outcome: Continued availability of Division-sponsored state-of-the art professional development/education activities.

Focus Area 2: Involvement of affiliates in Division activities

Outcomes:

  1. Increased number of networking opportunities for affiliates.
  2. Increased number of affiliates who participate in Division activities.
  3. Increased number of Division affiliates who subscribe to the Division's e-mail list.

Continuing Education

Division 11 is an ASHA approved continuing education provider for events, such as leadership conferences and self-study of the newsletter. The division sponsors a Short Course at the annual ASHA Convention.

  • CEUs through Perspectives: Perspectives contains continuing education articles. Only Division 11 affiliates may earn ASHA continuing education credit by completing self-study questions related to those articles.
  • Short Course: Division 11 affiliates are eligible for a 50% discount on select Short Courses at ASHA Convention.

E-mail List
Division 11 sponsors an exclusive e-mail list (for Division 11 affiliates only).

Networking
Affiliates have the opportunity to identify others with interest in administration and supervision through affiliate meetings and participation in the e-mail list.

Representation Within ASHA

  • The Division 11 Coordinator represents the Special Interest Division on Administration and Supervision within the ASHA Board of Division Coordinators.
  • The Steering Committee responds to ASHA requests for input regarding policy, guidelines, committees, and other issues.
  • Affiliates have the opportunity to provide input to the division leadership and ASHA.
