Schools 2009 Appeal Guidelines

The reporting and correction period for ASHA CEUs or professional development hours (PDHs) earned at ASHA Schools 2009 is closed.

If you still wish to earn credits or correct your record, you will need to appeal to ASHA's Continuing Education Board. The fee for an appeal is $50. If you choose to appeal:

  1. Write a letter addressed to the Chair of the Continuing Education Board including an explanation of why you have not requested CEUs previously, and requesting that CEUs be awarded now.
  2. Enclose a list of Schools Conference sessions you attended, including the following information about each:
    1. Session number
    2. Session title
    3. Day and time of session
  3. Enclose a check payable to ASHA for $50
  4. Send these items to:
ASHA Professional Development – MS 335
    2200 Research Boulevard
    Rockville, MD 20850.

ASHA Professional Development will submit the appeal on your behalf with a letter of support. The Board reviews appeals at regular intervals during the year. We will notify you as soon as the Board has taken action. It normally takes 6-12 weeks for an appeal to be decided and CEUs to appear on your record.

If you have questions about the appeal process, contact ASHA Professional Development, 800-498-2071, ext. 8593, or email ashaprofdev@asha.org.
