Reinstatement Policy Information
When does the new reinstatement policy take effect?
The new policy for audiology and speech-language pathology is effective September 1, 2009; however, ASHA will still accept reinstatement applications under the old policy until December 31, 2009. Beginning January 1, 2010, anyone desiring reinstatement of certification must meet these new reinstatement policies.
How long can I apply for reinstatement under the previous policy?
You have until December 31, 2009, to apply under the previous audiology or speech-language pathology reinstatement policy.
How do I know which policy I should apply for reinstatement under?
Contact the ASHA Action Center at 800-498-2071 as soon as possible — they will help you determine which option is best for you.
How to Apply for Reinstatement
Can I submit my reinstatement application online?
At this time you cannot submit your reinstatement application online. You may request a reinstatement application (under the new policy) from the ASHA Action Center at 800-498-2071 or send an e-mail to certification@asha.org.

Reinstatement Dues and Fees
What are the dues/fees for reinstating my CCCs?
The dues/fees for reinstating your CCC-SLP or CCC-A are:
- $375 for certification reinstatement, including ASHA membership
- $349 for certification reinstatement only
