Below is a list of recent accreditation decisions reached by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
CAA's accreditation is sought voluntarily by education programs that offer graduate degrees in speech-language pathology, audiology, or both, designed for graduates entering the professions. Entry-level education may be achieved through a master's or doctoral-level program. The CAA applies accreditation status classifications to each program that reflect CAA's evaluation of the extent to which an education program complies with the Standards for Accreditation. Any program that holds the status of "Accredited" or "Accredited—On Probation" is considered to be an accredited program. New programs that have been awarded candidacy status are noted as "Accreditation Candidate."
Accrediting agencies recognized by the USDE are required to notify regional accreditors, selected specialized recognized accreditors, and state agencies responsible for post-secondary education of final accreditation decisions.
